I HAD one-off sex with a guy who was real fun to be with. I know it should have meant nothing but I cannot stop thinking about him.
I have been married for six years and have a four-year-old daughter. I am 29, my husband is 30.
I never thought I’d cheat on him, but when I did it was the best sex I’ve ever had I decided to arrange a surprise party for his 30th. I’d never doubted him but when I looked on his phone for numbers of his old friends I found loads of texts to other women.
Perhaps I shouldn’t have opened them but I did and they were very explicit, with intimate photos.
I could not believe it. I confronted my husband and he hadn’t really got any excuse. I wanted to scrap plans for the party but by then I had invited his family so I had to go ahead.
I booked a room in a pub and the evening seemed to go well but I was still feeling very down.
One of the bar staff was a younger man. We started chatting and he told me he was 22 and that this evening job was just to earn a bit of extra cash.
He had a lovely smile and gorgeous eyes. He said I didn’t look as happy as I should and I found myself confiding in him.
He gave me his phone number and said he would be there for me if ever I wanted to talk.
I couldn’t forget my husband’s texts and I told him to go to his parents’ house for two weeks while I decided what to do.
A few days later, I called the young barman. We met and he was really great to be with. He made me laugh and forget everything else. We went back to his shared house and had sex. It was amazing.
Then he told me he was moving abroad for a better job and we would not see each other again — which we haven’t.
My husband has sworn that the texting has stopped and I eventually had him back, but I cannot forget my other man.
All I can think about is having sex with other men and it is driving me mad
