Fire guts 80 stores in Delta
Not fewer than 80 stores were, on Friday, razed by yet another inferno at Ogbe-Ijoh market in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The fire, which started at about 11:00 p.m, destroyed goods worth millions of naira.
Ogbe-Ijoh market is notorious for harbouring illegally refined crude petrol, diesel and kerosene.
According to reports, the portion engulfed by the inferno is known for fish smoking and trading on a daily basis, even as the cause of the fire outbreak could not be ascertained.
Speaking on the incident, one Mrs Ebiere Akporiri, a trader affected by the incident, said everybody was warned about the incessant fire outbreak.
