Leading Peoples Democratic Party  (PDP) House of Assembly aspirant in Akoko-Edo Constituency 1, Mr. Rasak  Idowu  Obaro, has met with the executives and stakeholders in Ward 7, calling for a united house ahead of the party primaries and the general elections next year.

According to his media office, Obaro made the call during his consultation tour of the ward, adding that he also charged party members and stalwarts to remain resolute in ensuring  that PDP  wins all the elective positions at federal , state and local government levels.

The media office explained that the purpose of Obaro’s tour of five wards in the constituency was to inform party executives and his supporters formally of his intention to vie for the House of Assembly seat

“We must remain peaceful, united and indivisible as a family if we must crush the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the general elections next year. There has been pressure on me , especially from my supporters across the ward, asking me to contest for the seat, and I have seen the need toi answer their call, hence I have embarked on this tour to inform them that I have accepted to run in 2019”, he said.

Responding, the Chairman of the party, Mr. Kayoed Ogunubi extolled the virtues of Mr. Rasak Obaro to high heavens, saying that at the moment he is the most qualified aspirant for the exalted job as he is visionary, pragmatic and selfless in his commitment to develop the constituency.

Other executives of the party also showered encomiums on the aspirant for possessing all it takes to give the constituency qualitative representation at the state House of Assembly and urged all and sundry to vote massively for PDP in the general election.

According to them, it is only PDP that could rescue the nation and Edo State, in particular, from the maladministration and cluelessness of the APC government and the criminal neglect of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area by the ruling party.

Also speaking at the event, the PDP publicity Secretary, Mr. Kaytode Alabi assured that the era of imposition of candidates was over, adding that the party would create a level playing field for all the aspirants and that the best would emerge the standard bearers of the party in the next general elections.
